New requirements for regular Canadian passport holders on a short-term diplomatic or service visit in China

From 10th of July, 2017, the holders of regular Canadian passports, going to China for short-term diplomatic or service purposes must use the “China Online Visa Application” (COVA) system (cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn) to complete the new application form. The applicants must also complete the “Education Employment & Marriage Information Form” which can be found on the website of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Montreal (in the download section of the French version of the site). All forms must be completed electronically, and printed out.
