It is advisable that you apply for your visa approximately one month prior to your intended date of entry into China, but not earlier than three months. If you apply for a visa too early, the visa might expire before your arrival to mainland China. For instance; if you plan to enter China on 1^st of July, the best time to submit your application would be around 1^st of June (counting working days only).

If you want to submit your application by post,please post you application ducument  two month prior to your intended date of entry into China. Only the applicant who meet all requirements bellow can submit his/her applicant by post.

1、The applicant must be in Indonesia when submitting application.

2、The applicant's birth place,passport issued place,family address or working place is within the service area of the Consulate General.The Consulate General covers 9 provinces and 1 special region: North Sumatra Province, South Sumatra Province, West Sumatra Province, Jambi Province, Riau Province, Riau Islands Province, Bengkulu Province, Lampung Province, Bangka-Belitung Province and Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.

3、The applicant does not need to collect fingerprints. Fingerprints exemption is only eligible for the following categories:
1) Applicants is under the age of 14 or over 70;
2) Applicant has used the same passport to apply for the visa and has the fingerprints taken at the Visa Centre in Medan within the past five years.
3) The Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Indonesia will continue to exempt the fingerprints of eligible visa applicants for one or two entries for business, tourism, family visit, transit, and crew visas until December 31, 2024.  

*Submitting applicant by post must pay post service fee. The consular officers may also request an interview with some applicants. Your failure to attend an interview may consequence to visa rejection.
