From 00:00 on December 1, 2023 to 24:00 on December 31, 2025 (Beijing time), Dutch citizens holding ordinary passports who come to China for business, tourist, visiting relatives and friends, and transit reasons, will be exempted from Chinese visa to enter into China, for a period not exceeding 15 days from the date of their entry. Dutch citizens who do not meet the above mentioned reasons and time limit for visa exemption or holding service (official) passports still need to apply for Chinese visa before entering into China.
Based on the notice of the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands, before 31 December 2024, the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in the Hague will continue to exempt the requirement of fingerprints collection for eligible applicants when applying for single or double entry visas in the categories of business, tourism, family visit, transit, and crew members.
1. Fill out the visa application form on the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in the Hague (https://www.visaforchina.cn/HAG2_EN/), download and print out the full application form, and sign the confirmation page.
2. Go to the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in the Hague to submit application form and relevant documents.
A kind reminder: After cancellation of online appointment, more applicants are expected on-site during peak hours. Proper time arrangement is recommended. For applicants who have already made an appointment, their applications will be handled with priority.
Attention Please:If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time ( applicable for those who were previously Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship), you should make appointment to the embassy to cancel your last Chinese passport. The embassy's contact email is the-hague@csm.mfa.gov.cn When applicants whose original nationality is Chinese and their children apply for Q1 or Q2 visas, if you have obtained Chinese visas before and apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the photocopy of the previous passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page (if your name on the current passport differs from that on the previous one. You must provide an official document of name change). Otherwise, it will affect your visa processing time.
The Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in Hague will resume return delivery by post on 11 APR 2023,but you still need to come to the centre to submit your application.
