Currently COVID-19 is spreading rapidly across the world and Japan is entering the key stage to contain the epidemic. In order to minimize the gathering of people, prevent cross-infection, and ensure people’s health and safety, the Chinese Visa Application Service Center has made the adjustments to visa and authentication services as follows.
1. According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China National Immigration Administration Announcement on the Temporary Suspension of Entry by Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Visas or Residence Permits released on March 26, 2020, the Chinese Visa Application Service Center suggests that visa applicants, except those who will visit China for necessary economic and trade, science and technology, and other activities, or out of emergency humanitarian needs, please postpone the application till the epidemic is successfully contained. Due to the epidemic, the process of visa review and issuance would be prolonged and when the visa will be issued is uncertain.
2. Those who have been in epidemic countries or regions within 14 days must isolate according to the requirements made by the Japanese side. The Chinese Visa Application Service Center does not accept the applications from those who have not completed the quarantine period. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 infectors or have symptoms such as fever, cough, or dyspnea, please complete isolating or get recovered before applying.
3. Urgent applications for visa or authentication will not be accepted in principle.
4. Applicants for visa or authentication should know the instructions in advance, prepared all the required documents and cooperate with the protective measures taken by the Center such as wearing masks, filling out declaration forms, detecting body temperature, disinfection and cleaning when entering the office. Please line up with distance at least one meter from each other and take a seat while waiting in the lobby.
5. For the latest information of the visa and authentication services, please visit our website (https://www.visaforchina.org/), or call (03-3599-5515) , email (tokyocenter@visaforchina.org) us to consult.
The prevention and control of the epidemic is related to everyone's health and safety. The center will dynamically adjust its services according to the situation of the epidemic. Please share the notice with other people in need.
We deeply apologize for the inconvenience to you. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. The Chinese Visa Application Center will be at your service as always.
