According to the Japanese laws, the consumption tax rate will be increased from 8% to 10% on October 1, 2019.

If you collect your visa or authentication documents on or after October 1, 2019, you need to pay the application service fee with the 10% consumption tax rate. ( If the expected collection date on your pickup form were before October 1, 2019, but you didn’t collect your visa or authentication documents before October 1, 2019, the application service fee will also be charged at the consumption tax rate of 10%. )
