The Chinese Embassy in Japan will outsource China Hong Kong and Macao visa service to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center from May 1, 2019-on nagoya

In order to provide better service for China Hong Kong/Macao visa applicants, those foreigners applicant with ordinary passpirts should submit their applications to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (hereinafter referred to as "CVASC") according to its service area.  The Consular Section of this Consulate general will no longer accept the aforesaid applications directly starting from May 1, 2019.

II. Business hours and fees
 1. Business hours: Monday-Friday (except Chinese and Japanese public holidays)

    2. Application Submission: 9:00AM to 3:00PM

    3. Payment and Collection: 9:00AM to 4:00PM

    4. Fees: Besides visa fees and express fees which are charged on behalf of this Embassy, the CVASC charges service fees. Detailed fee information could be found on the CVASC's official website or could be obtained by directly consulting the CVASC.

    5.Processing time: The application should be forwarded to the government of the Hong Kong special administrative region or the government of the Macao special administrative region for approval. Upon receipt of the approval notice, the applicant may apply for the ordinary visa for a total of 6 working days from the same day. The issuing time is consistent with other visa practices.

III. Important Reminders

     1. Whether or not a visa could be issued is decided by a consular officer, the CVASC is not participating in the approval process.

     2. The diplomatic, service (special or official) passport holders, those who apply for diplomatic, official or courtesy visas, and the Chinese citizens who apply for entry permits to Hong Kong, still need to submit their applications to this NAGOYA Consulate general  (Address: 2-8-37 2tyoume-higashizakura, HIGASHI-KU, NAGOYA, JAPAN; office hours: 9:00am-12:00am).

     3. Applicants could submit their China Hong Kong/Macao visa applications to this Embassy through the CVASC, or directly submit their visa applications to the Immigration Department of Hong Kong SAR or the Immigration Department of the Public Security Police Force of Macao SAR.
