Visa Application Process
1. Prepare Visa Application materials
Visa application materials include basic documents and other supporting materials.
2. Complete the Online Visa Application form and upload application materials 
Please log in to the Chinese Visa Application Centre (hereinafter referred to as "Visa Application Centre") website at www.visaforchina.cn, find the relevant Visa Application Centre, register, and log in. Follow the instructions to complete the Online Visa Application Form, upload application materials, and submit, then wait for initial review approval. All applicants (excluding those applying for visas to Hong Kong or Macau) must use this website to fill out the application materials. 
Important reminder:
1. After submitting the Application, the Embassy, Consulate, or Visa Application Centre may request additional materials at any time. Please check the "Application status inquiry" for updates on your application process. When the application status is "ready for passport submission," print the first and last pages of the Visa Application Form and sign them.
2. Video interview (if required)
Some applicants may need a video interview. Follow the website instructions to make an appointment and complete the video interview. 
3. Submit Visa Application materials and pay fees at the Visa Application Center
1. If the application status is "ready for passport submission" and you have recieved a confirmation email, bring the printed "Visa application receipt" to the Visa Application Centre during working hours (9:00 to 14:30 on weekdays) to submit your visa application materials.
2. Submit the following materials to the 
Visa Application Centre:
  • Original passport;
  • Signed first and last pages of the Visa Application Form;
  • 1 photo (recent, color, 48mmx33mm, without hat);
  • Other supporting materials as required.
3. Applicants must have their ten fingerprints collected at the Visa Application Centre. The following visa applicants are exempt from fingerprint collection:
  • Individuals under 14 years of age or over 70 years of age;
  • Holders of diplomatic passports or those meeting the conditions for diplomatic, official, courtesy visas;
  • Individuals who have had their fingerprints taken at the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan within the past five years;
  • Individuals with missing fingers or those whose fingerprints cannot be collected;
  • Business, tourist, family visit, transit, and crew visa applicants meeting specific conditions before December 31, 2024, may be exempt from fingerprint collection. 
The embassy emphasizes that applicants must personally appear for fingerprint collection. If someone else pretends to be the applicant for fingerprint collection, the person will be refused entry into China and will be responsible for any resulting consequences.
Pay all fees, including visa fees and service fees, at the time of material submission. 

4. Collect documents
Applicants should collect their documents from the Visa Application Centre at the designated time using the receipt issued when they submitted their application.
