Notice on Temporary Exemption from Fingerprint Collection Requirements of Visa Applicants to China for Certain Visa Categories

The Consulate General of the Peoples Republic of China in Sydney will continue to exempt the requirement of fingerprints collection for eligible applicants when applying for single or double-entry visas in the categories of commercial trade activities(M), tourism(L), family visit(Q2), transit(G), and crew members(C) untill 31 December, 2024.

Besides, exemptions for the fingerprint requirements are still granted to:
I. Applicants under the age of 14 or over 70;
II. Applicants holding a diplomatic passport or eligible for application of diplomatic, service or courtesy visa of China;
III. Applicants who have had fingerprints collected and have obtained Chinese visa with the same passports within 5 years;
IV. Applicants with all ten fingerprints unable to be collected.
