Notice of Changes to the Chinese Consular Legalization (Authentication) Services in Indonesia

To better its service in Consular Legalization (Authentication), the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, and the Chinese Consulate-Generals in Surabaya, Medan, and Denpasar will outsource their services to the Chinese Visa Application Service Centers (CVASC) from 14 May 2018.

Starting this date, Consular Legalization (Authentication) application for Indonesian as well as third-country citizens should be submitted to the CVASC in Jakarta, Surabaya and Medan. The services of CVASC include application acceptance, fees collection, document issuance and information inquiry. Document revision and approval remains to be decided by the consular officials.

Consular Legalization (Authentication) service for Chinese citizens remains to be handled by the Chinese Embassy and Consulate-Generals in their respective consular districts.

The CVASC will provide applicants with a more comfortable environment, timely information, longer service hours and convenient services, whilst conforming to the laws and regulations of both China and Indonesia to ensure the safety of applicants' personal information and documents. The CVASC will charge the applicant a service fee at the published price.
