From Jan 9th 2018, Stockholm Visa Center will suspend all inbound postal service until further notice. This means that it will not be possible to send in applications by post for any applicant, even if they are not required to submit fingerprints for visa.
From now on, all applications needs to be handed in in person (or via visa agent), however, applications for persons excluded from fingerprint requirement (under 14 yrs. old and over 70 yrs. old) can still be brought to the visa center by someone else, without the said applicant having to be present at the visa center in person. Online appointment is still required for submission of this type of application.
Applicants who has already obtained a biometric visa and are applying for the second time must first confirm with the visa center if they need to come in person or not for their next application.
The visa center will keep its outbound postal service, which means it is still possible for applicants to have their visa sent back to them by post.
