Guide to Application for Chinese Visas

1. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The People's Republic of China National Immigration Administration of The People's Republic of China announced on September 23, 2020, that  holding valid Chinese residence permits for work, personal matters and reunion are allowed to enter China with no need for applying for new visas

2、If you do not meet the above requirements, you may apply for a visa as follows:

1)  Foreign nationals holding the "Confirmation Letter for High Level Foreign Talents" can apply for the "R" visa, and spouses and underage children can apply for the "S2" visa if they submit proof of relationship (e.g. marriage license, birth certificate, etc.).

2)    Foreigners who go to China for necessary economic, technological and trade activities apply for commercial and trade (M), exchange visits (F), and private business visas (S1 or S2), and submit invitations to central and state agencies, provincial foreign affairs or business administration.

3)  According to the measures to facilitate the exchange of Chinese and Korean personnel, Korean citizens will apply for a work (Z-letter) visa and submit a valid " work permit"

4)    According to the measures to facilitate the exchange of Chinese and Korean personnel, Korean citizens can apply for a study visa (X1 or X2) and submit a valid study-type residence permit without fees .If you do not have a valid study permit, you must submit the original Application for Study Abroad Visa (Table JW201 or JW202) and the original acceptance letter of the school.

5)  The following emergency humanitarian visas may be processed on the basis of relevant certificates, such as medical certificates issued by hospitals, family relationships, etc.

a)    Traveling to China to visit relatives of critically ill people, including spouses, children, parents, grandparents and grandchildren of the deceased or critically ill.

b)    Both parents are Chinese citizens and must accompany their parents to China for their children(Under 18).

c)  Foreign spouses of Chinese citizens who are unable to live due to illness or other reasons should be sent to Chin

2)、3)、4)、5The applicants must complete the Covid-19 vaccination before they can apply for a visa, and must submit a certificate of vaccination.

3、All visa applications must be submitted through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center.Please fill out your visa application form (https://www.visaforchina.org) online in advance, make a reservation, and submit your application at the scheduled time.

In addition to the above visa requirements, the applicant must submit a copy of the original visa, a copy of the data page, a recent immigration certificate or entry confirmation slip, a valid Korean alien registration card or a Korean visa.The specific procedures and requirements for issuing a visa can be inquired directly at the China Visa Application Service Center.
