NEW REGULATIONS FOR THE APPLICANTS UNDER AGE OF 18

  Minors under the age of 18 (minors above the age of 16 who have their own income and are economically independent are not included) applying for a Chinese visa need to provide the following documents. Documents has to be provided in original and photocopy:

 

  A) Minors applying  for a Chinese visa at the same time of both parents, is required to provideà

  - legalized   birth certificate (the certificate needs to indicate both parents’ names).

  B) Minors applying  for a Chinese visa together with only one parent, is required to provideà

  - legalized   birth certificate (the certificate needs to indicate both parents’ names).

  - notarized and legalized  letter of authorization for minor’s visa application from the parent who does not apply for the visa.

  - notarized and legalized  letter of authorization from the parent who does not apply for the visa, declaring that he /she  consents  the other parent to travel with the minor.

  C) Minors applying for a Chinese visa aloneà

  - legalized   birth certificate (the certificate needs to indicate both parents’ names).

  - notarized and legalized  letter of authorization for minor’s visa application from both parents.

  - notarized and legalized letter of authorization from both parents consenting an authorised person to travel with the minor.
