As of June 1st, 2021, the consular legalization
applications of non-Chinese nationals residing in the consular district of the
Chinese Embassy in France should be submitted to the Chinese Visa Application Service
Centers in Paris (hereinafter referred as 'Visa Application Center’). Consular legalization
applications filed by Chinese nationals can be submitted either directly to the
Chinese Embassy in France, or to the Visa Application Center which charges a
service fee in addition to the legalization fee.
New legalization appointments for the following week’s working days will be released at 19:00 from Monday to Friday.
1.Office hours
Monday to Thursday excluding public holidays.
Application submission and payment: 9:00 – 15:00
Collection: 9:00 – 16:00
2.Processing time
Regular service:The processing time is usually 6 working days. (in the case that all the required documents are provided). The express service and the VIP service are not available at present.
* The consular officer reserves the right to require the applicant to provide additional supporting documents, or to have an interview at the Embassy. The processing time may consequently be longer.
* If the applicant requests return delivery by post upon submitting the legalization application at the counter, the processing time will be 10 working days.
3. Fees
In addition to the legalization fee collected on behalf of the Chinese Embassy, the Visa Application Center will also charge a service fee. Please click here for Schedule of fees.
4.Important notice
4.1Consular legalization applications filed by Chinese nationals residing in the consular district of the Chinese Embassy in France can still be submitted directly to the Chinese Embassy. For more information please send an email to consul@amb-chine.fr. Legalization fee and service fee will be charged if applications are submitted at the Visa Application Center.
4.2 As of June 1st, 2021, the Chinese Embassy requires that all legalization application forms be filled in on the computer, printed out and signed by the applicant.Hand-written forms will no longer be accepted. If the applicant entrusts an agent to submit the application on his/her behalf, the applicant and the agent need to sign respectively at the Signature of applicantand at the Signature of agent.
4.3 New legalization appointments for the following week’s working days will be released at 19:00 from Monday to Friday.
4.4 The Visa Application Center is only responsible for the
handling of application submissions. The Chinese Embassy in France is in charge
of the process of decision-making.
