In order to facilitate the visa application procedure, from August 26, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in France and Consulates General in Marseille, Strasbourg and Lyon will carry out adjustments on regulations regarding the exemption of fingerprints collection as follows:

    Applicants who have been issued a Chinese visa AND have already registered their fingerprints with the same passport are exempted from fingerprints collection for 5 years.  But they are required to present the biometrical visa obtained with the same passport in the past 5 years. Those who have no possibility of presenting the visa obtained, do not need to register again their fingerprints IF they submit the visa application at the SAME Chinese Embassy / Consulate (or Chinese Visa Application Service Centre ).
