Notice on Partially Reopening Service
Upon the Japanese government’s gradual lifting its national emergency countermeasures on COVID-19, and considering the necessity for applicants, Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Tokyo and Nagoya will reopen from 17 June 2020 in a phased and controlled manner. To maximally prevent cross-contamination, the Center will launch a mandatory appointment system and will NOT accept applications without reservation. For further information, please check following steps:
1. Office Opening hours
(1)Tokyo office:
Only be OPEN on Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 to 14:00
(2)Nagoya office:
Only be OPEN on Tuesday and Friday from 10:00 to 14:00
The offices will be CLOSED on Japanese or Chinese holidays.
2. Current Scope of Application:
Visa ( ONLY for Crew, necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or Emergency Humanitarian needs ) and Authentication.
3. Application Procedure
(1)Visa:applicants for necessary economic, trade and scientific or technological activities are required to submit an invitation letter issued by the Chinese provincial foreign affairs office or the Department of Commerce. Applicants for urgent humanitarian purpose should email the required and proof documents in advance, and make reservation upon the approval notice. Others who have been approved by the relevant national authorities in-charge, may make an appointment directly with the Center.
(2)Authentication: Please make appointment by telephone or email. You can visit our office after making appointment successfully.
