Currently, citizens of 79 countries and regions, including Australia and New Zealand enjoy visa-free entry into Macao SAR.Citizens of other countries or regions which don't enjoy visa-free entry into Macao SAR, could apply for a visa for Macao SAR in advance at the local Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General, or apply for a "visa-upon-arrival" when entering Macao SAR. 

Foreign citizens who would visit China's mainland and Macao SAR at the same time,must apply for a visa for China's mainland and a visa for Macao SAR separately,if they do not meet the requirements of visa exemption.

Visa applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.Please fill out the visa application form truthfully, completely and clearly. Please be aware that the processing time would be delayed and your application would probably be refused if you provide incomplete or fraudulent documents.

2. How to apply

The applicant should submit the visa application to the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in Melbourne.

No appointment needed.

3. Visa Fees and Payment

In addition to collecting visa fees and express fees on behalf of the Chinese Consulate General in Melbourne, the Melbourne Chinese Visa Application Service Center will charge a certain amount of service fee. For specific charging standards, please check the center's website.

Pay by card only.

4. Processing time

For normal application, the passport can be collected on the fourth working day after approval by the Macao SAR Government. It is recommended to submit your applicationat least one month before the travel date.
