What is the validity period of a document?
 

A Single Status Certificate must be legalised at FCO and the Chinese embassy/consulate within 3 months of being notarised or issued by a British government department. Non-criminal record/
DBS need to be legalised by the FCO, the Chinese Embassy/Consulate within 6 months after notarisation or issueing date. Notary certificates, to be used in China, regarding a person's marital status, health, property, income and non-criminal record/DBS, for the purpose of adoption in China, need to be legalised by the FCO, the Chinese Embassy/Consulate within 6 months after notarisation.
