Notice on the Online Application Form and Appointment System (updated on 10/5/2021)
According to the notice of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, a new version of the Chinese visa application form will be launched on 10th May 2021, the online visa application form and appointment booking system will be implemented on 10th May 2021. If you choose to submit your application at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in Kuala Lumpur, the steps are as follows:

1.  Enter the "Quick Access" from the Kuala Lumpur Visa Application Centre website. Select visa to enter the online Application Form page. Read the instructions before filling the online form. You will be requested to upload a recent standard photo of yourself with white background(click here for the photo requirements)Click "Step by step" for visa  information and requirements.

2. Once you have completed the online visa application form, please print it out and sign on the cover page and page 9.

3. Go to "Appointment" and fill in the application form number. The form number is automatically generated by the system and starts with the letters KUL. Select the available time slot and complete the appointment. Please print the appointment information. The system will also automatically send you a successful appointment email to your email address.  Except for humanitarian reasons, all applicants must complete an appointment before they can submit their application at the centre. A maximum of 5 application form numbers can be added under one appointment number. If you need to submit more than one visa application, please ensure that you have added all application form numbers to your appointment. If you do not add all the application form number at the time of booking, the Centre will not be able to process the application.

4. Applicants for diplomatic, service and courtesy visas can complete the online visa application form, print out and sign on the application form without making an appointment at the Application Centre. Applicants for diplomatic, service and courtesy visas shall follow the relevant requirements of the Chinese Embassy for visa application as the Visa Centre does not accept applications for diplomatic, service or courtesy visas.

Note: Applicants are advised to arrange the travel plans as early as possible and book an appointment at least 30 days before your intended departure date to China.

5. Please ensure that the photo uploaded on the online application form is the applicant's him/herself. Failing to do so, the Centre will reject the application and the applicant shall complete the online application form again and upload his or her own photo before submitting it. If you fail to upload a photo while filling up the online application form, please provide a qualified photo when submitting your application for the centre to upload it into the system.
         
6.Applicants who need to apply for consular legalisation can log on to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center website . Select Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur Visa Application Centre ; make an online appointment at the legalization section, and complete the appointment after selecting the available slot. The system will automatically send you a successful appointment email to your email address. Please print the appointment information or take a screenshot of the appointment time information and proceed to the Center for application according to the appointment time.
