Starting from 1st May 2019, those who apply visas for the Macao SAR of the PRC are requested to submit applications via Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC). The Consular Department of the Commissioner's Office will no longer accept this type of visa applications directly. Details are as follows:

B. Office Hours and Application Charges
1. Working days: Monday to Friday (except for public holidays)
2. Submission of applications: 09:00-16:00
3. Payment and pick-up of visas: 10:00-17:00
4. Application charges: In addition to the visa fees (collect on behalf of the Commissioner's Office), CVASC will also charge for service fee of HK$240.
5. Processing time: Visas processing would normally take 10 working days. No express nor urgent service.
C. Special Notes
1. Whether a visa to be issued or not shall be decided by the Consular Department of the Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in the HKSAR; CVASC has no involvement in the visa assessment and decision-making process.
2. Please note that nationals of Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam are required to obtain an entry visa before arriving at the Macao SAR. Nationals of above mentioned six countries who bears a valid Hong Kong ID are NOT subject to this measure.
3. Applicants holding diplomatic or service (official) passports, and applicants who apply diplomatic/service/courtesy visas may still submit their applications directly to the Consular Department of the Commissioner's Office (Address: 3/F, China Resources Building, 26 Harbour Road, Wanchai; Opening hours: 9:00-12:00, 14:30-17:00, Monday to Friday, except for public holidays).
4. Applicants can apply visas for the Macao SAR of the PRC either to the Consular Department of the Commissioner's Office via CVASC, or directly to Public Security Police Force, the Government of Macao SAR.
