Announcement of Implementation of China Online Visa Application Form and Appointment for Visa Application Submission


The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vietnam will implement China online visa
application form and appointment for visa application submission. With effect from 10th May 2021,
visa applicants are requested to complete visa application form online and to make an appointment
online for visa submission to the Chinese visa application service center.
Please read the following details:

1. The transition period is between 10th May 2021 to 9th June 2021. Applications can still be
made through paper-based China visa application form. Starting from 10th June, applicants
must complete their visa application form online and print the auto-generated application form.
Visa applications made through the previous visa application form will no longer be accepted.

2. From 10th May, for applicants who have completed their online applications and wish to
submit their application to the Chinese visa application service center, prior appointment for visa
application submission is mandatory.

3. Holders of diplomatic and official passport, or members of government delegation, or
applications for diplomatic, official and courtesy visa are exempted from making an
appointment for visa application submission. Visa applications can be submitted to the
Chinese diplomatic and consular missions in Vietnam but are still requested to complete
visa application form online and print the auto-generated application form.

4. Applicants for visa for Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR of China do not need to complete
visa application form online or make an appointment for visa application submission. For visa
policies of HKSAR and Macao SAR of China during Covid-19 epidemic, please refer to the official
websites below for detailed information.
