In
order to provide better service for Hong Kong/Macao SAR visa applicants, from
May 1, 2019, ordinary passport holders applying for visas for Hong Kong/Macao
SAR of China will be required to submit their applications via the China Visa
Application Service Center.

Processing time and fees
(1)
Processing time: Visas normally can be collected on the fourth working day
after applications submitted. Express services are subject to approval by
consular officers at an additional charge. However, this processing time is for
reference only. The processing time will be extended if the case needs to be
forwarded to the Government of the HKSAR or the Government of the Macao SAR for
approval.
(2)
Fee collection: China Visa Application Service Center will charge service fee
in addition to the visa fee and express fee, please refer to the Center or its
website for the specific fee standard.
3.
Special notes
(1)
Applications are considered and approved by the Consulate-General or the Government of the HKSAR or the
Government of the Macao SAR. China Visa Application Service Center does not
participate in the approval process.
(2)
For holders of diplomatic and service (official) passports, or for ordinary
passport holders applying for diplomatic, official and courtesy visas, and
Chinese citizens who apply for entry permit to Hong Kong SAR, they can still
submit their applications directly to the Consulate-General(Address: Villa

Applicants may apply for Hong Kong/Macao SAR visas through the China Visa
Application Service Center. Or alternatively, apply directly to the Immigration
Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government or the Public Security Police Force
of the Macao SAR Government.
