Notice on the Policy Adjustment of Chinese Visa Issuance and Entry to China

To facilitate trips to China, starting from March 15, 2023, the policies of visa issuance and entry to China will be adjusted as follows:

1. Chinese visas that were issued before March 28, 2020 and remains within valid period will be reactivated.

2. The Chinese Embassy and Consulate General in India will resume issuing various types of Chinese visas. For more details, please check the updated Notice on the Requirements for Chinese Visa Application.

3. Port visa authorities will resume issuing port visas based on legitimate applications.

4. Visa exemption polices in following areas will be reactivated: Hainan visa-free policy; foreign cruise-group-tour through Shanghai Port; Guangdong visa-free policy specified for foreign tour groups entering from Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR; visa-free policy specified for foreign tour groups of ASEAN countries entering Guilin, Guangxi Province.
