Application Documents of Z Visa
1.
Passport
Original passport with at least 6 months of
remaining validity and with at least two
blank visa pages, and a photocopy of the
passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.
2.
Visa Application Form and Photo
One completed Visa
Application Form with a
recently-taken Photo (size: 48mm x
33mm) attached. A photo must be:
- In
colour
- Taken
in front of a plain white background
- Taken
bare-headed
- Face
centred looking straight
- Taken
within the last 6 months
You have
to complete an Online Application Form,
print it out and sign it. The Chinese Visa Application Service Center only
accept an online application form with appropriate application documents. Walk in application without an
appointment allowed.
Please
remember to bring the completed form to the Visa Centre to submit your
application.

Proof of legal stay or residence status (only
for those Applicants using non-Australian passport to apply for Chinese Visa):
If you are not applying for the visa in the country of your citizenship,
you must provide the original and photocopy of your valid Australian
visa of residence, employment or student status, or other valid
certificates of legal stay provided by the relevant authorities of the country
where the Visa Centre is located.

Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas (applicable to
those who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship): If you
are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you should provide the last
Chinese passport held and a photocopy of its data page and the Australian PR
visa (no include 155 visa).
If you
have obtained Chinese visas before and apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed
foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the
photocopy of the previous passport's data page and the photo page if it is
separate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page (If your name on the
current passport differs from that on the previous one, you must provide an
official document of name change).
5.
Children of Chinese descent (Parent/Parents having or
having had Chinese nationality) applying for Chinese visas for the first time
are required as below:
(1)
Both original and copy of the birth certificate.
(2) The
parents' passports which were holding when gave birth to the child. The
original and a copy of the data page of the passports are required.
(3) If
the parent/parents were holding Chinese passports when gave birth to the child,
a copy of the foreigner visa or residence document which were holding at that
time is required.
6. One
of the following approval documents:
(1) Foreigners Employment Permit of the People’s Republic of China
issued by the Chinese government authority for Human Resources and Social
Security,original and copy; Foreigners who go to China for short-term
employment also need to provide APPROVAL OF SHORT-TERM EMPLOYMENT FOR
FOREIGNERS WORKING IN P.R. CHINA issued by Chinese government authorities for
Human Resources and Social Security, original and copy;
(2) Permit for Foreign Experts Working in China issued by the State Bureau of
Foreign Experts,original and copy;
(3) Letter of Invitation to Foreigners for Offshore Petroleum Operations in
China issued by China National Offshore Oil Corporation;
(4) Registration certificate of the resident representative office of foreign
(regional) enterprises issued by related administrative department of industry
and commerce;
(5) An approval document for commercial performance issued by Chinese
government authority for Cultural Affairs (only applicable to applicants
for commercial performances in mainland China),original and copy.Foreigners who
go to China for short-term employment also need to provide APPROVAL OF
SHORT-TERM EMPLOYMENT FOR FOREIGNERS WORKING IN P.R. CHINA issued by Chinese
government authorities for Human Resources and Social Security,original and
copy.
7.
We kindly remind you that:
(1) Holders of Z-Visa must apply for a residence permit from the immigration
department of the local public security authority in the place intended to stay
within 30 days of entry to China.
(2) The
invitation letter can be faxed, copied or printed. Consular officers may
request an applicant to provide the original of the invitation letter. The
invitation letters from Chinese individuals should present the photocopy of the
ID.
(3)
Consular officers may request an applicant to provide additional supporting
documents or conduct an interview when deemed necessary.
