Notice on Fingerprints Collection of Visa Applicants
According to relevant Chinese laws and regulations, and with reference to international practice and experience, starting from June 25th, 2018, the Chinese Embassy in Romania will empower Bucharest Chinese Visa Application Service Center (hereinafter referred to as “the Visa Center”) to start biometric data collection and collect fingerprints of all applicants applying for visas for China (Mainland Only).
Applicants between the ages of 14 and 70 must go to the Visa Center to submit an application and collect their fingerprints. The fingerprint data collected will be directly submitted to the Chinese Embassy in Romania by the Visa Center.
Exemptions for the fingerprint requirements are granted to:
I. Applicants under the age of 14 or over 70;
II. Applicants holding a diplomatic passport or eligible for application of diplomatic, service and courtesy visa of China;
III. Applicants who have applied for Chinese visas with the same passports and have had fingerprints collected and visa approved within 5 years;
IV. Applicants with all the ten fingers physically unable or fingerprints unable to be collected.
