Further to facilitate visa applicants, visa offices of Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in India have extended the exemption of biometrics data (Fingerprints) collection to visa applicants eligible for all short-term single or double entry (Staying for no more than 180 days). All applicants who are exempted from biometrics data (Fingerprints) collection can authorize Company Representatives or Travel Agents to submit visa application for them after the registration process is completed by the Consulate. Prior to this, a process is set by the Chinese Consulate General for registering the Travel agents, wherein the Travel agents will have to submit the following documents at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre which will be scrutinized by the Chinese Consulate General officials.
The Travel Agents can start submitting the below mentioned documents from 09th September 2024 to 23rd September 2024.
1. Request letter addressing to The Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China in Mumbai on their company letterhead (Mentioning the address of company, Contact number and Name of the Manager, Contact number and Name of the Courier)
2. Shop and Establishment Certificate
3. International Air Transport Association (IATA) Certificate
4. Member of Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) or Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI)
As per the directives from the Chinese Consulate General, if it is observed that the Travel agents have violated the norms and have not adhered to compliance, their registration will be revoked.
The registered Travel Agencies or Companies have no priority beyond regulation for visa application. The Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (VFS) and the Travel agencies will have no interest relationship.
