Latest Notice- China has extended a unilateral visa-free policy for 15 countries on a trial basis and restored a unilateral visa-free policy for Negara Brunei Darussalam.


To further facilitate cross-border travel and China’s high-quality development and high-standard opening up, China has extended the unilateral visa-free policy to more countries on trial basis, which involves visa-free treatment to travellers holding ordinary passport from fifteen countries, namely, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungry, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland.


Until December 31st 2025, citizens from the above mentioned-countries holding ordinary passports can be exempted from Visa to enter China and stay for no more than 15 days for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes. Those who do not meet the purpose of visit and time limit for visa free policy are still required to apply for Visas to China.


In addition, China has restored a unilateral visa-free policy for Negara Brunei Darussalam since 26th July 2023, and citizens from Negara Brunei Darussalam holding ordinary passports can be exempted from Visa to enter China and stay for no more than 15 days for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes as well. Those who do not meet the purpose of visit and time limit for visa free policy are still required to apply for Visas to China.


There are 16 countries enjoying unilateral visa-free policy to travel to China.
