As of 16th Dec. 2019, the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in Berlin(hereinafter referred to as “Visa Application Centre”) will capture all applicants’ fingerprints, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, in accordance with Chinese laws and regulations, as well as the principle of reciprocity. The following applicants could be exempted from the aforesaid requirement:
(1)Less than 14 years old or more than 70 years old;
(2)Applicants who have applied for the Chinese visa with the same passport in the past 5 years at the Chinese Embassy or Visa Application Centre and have already collected their fingerprints.However, the issued biometrical visa has to be presented with the same passport
(3)Applicants who suffer from mutilation of all ten fingers or whose fingerprints cannot be collected.
Please note that all applicants must have their fingerprints collected in person at the Visa Application Centre. Applicants whose fingerprints do not match will be denied entry to China and must bear all the consequences by themselves.
All applicants to the Visa Application Centre are required to make an appointment and fill in the application forms online on the official website of the Visa Application Centre (https://bio.visaforchina.org) in advance. A standard color identity photo will be required while submitting the application at the Visa Application Centre.
