1. How to fill out the online form and make an appointment online?
Enter our website www.visaforchina.org, selecting the country Spain- the visa center you want to apply, Madrid or Barcelona, and click Quick access, click on "New application form", the form contains 10 sections, which you have to complete step by step. After filling, request the previous appointment.
2. What form of procedure does the Visa Center offer?
The Visa Center offers two types of procedure: by visiting or by postal.
By visiting our Visa Center: The applicant must fill out the online form, and request an appointment online, on the day of the appointment he must go personally to the Center to submit documents and deposit the fingerprints, the passport with visa will be collected on the date that appears on the pick-up form.
By postal: includes round-trip service, or one-way service. The rates are the same.
I. Round trip service: (Madrid only)
① The applicant sends the passport, the printed form, the required documents to our center in Madrid by courier or certified postal. (The postal cost to our center must be paid by applicant)
②Once the package received, we revise the documents if they are all correct and complete, we will contact the applicants by email to send the payment notice and schedule the date of fingerprinting (the applicant does not have to make an appointment online).
③ The applicant makes a bank transfer, the amount including visa and service fees, and postal cost.
④ The applicant come to our center in Madrid to take a photo and the finger prints, the process starts from that day.
⑤ In 5 working days, we will return your passport with Chinese visa to your address indicated by MRW courier. (on the application form section 9 please select postal service)
II. One way service (return only)
① The applicant completes the online form and requests an appointment online.
② On the day of the appointment, go to the center personally to submit documents and take the finger prints, if you need a return service, you can request it directly with our stuff.
③ The visa fee and service fee will be paid at the cashier, the amount included visa fees, service, and postal costs.
④ In 5 working days, we send the passport with visa back to the address indicated by MRW courier. (on the application form section 9 please select by visiting centre)
3. When filling out the form, if I have made some mistake in names, can I submit the wrong form to the Visa Centre?
No, all the information must be correct and complete, especially the personal data reflected in the passport, keep in mind that once the application form has been confirmed and sent, it cannot be modified. If the confirmed form has an error, you will have to fill in a new application, being able to recover the information entered previously, enter in quick access-fill in the application form- press option 4 “start a new application form, with personal information based on requests previously completed”, and then enter your previous application number and passport number.
4. When making an appointment, can I choose the date?
Yes, on our website, availability appears within the next 10 working days, you can choose the date and time.
5. Can I request an appointment first and then fill in the form?
No, it is necessary to fill in the form first, because to request an appointment you need the application number.
6. I have travelled to China before, I have been taken fingerprints at the Chinese airport, is it necessary to go personally to the Visa Center to deposit the fingerprints?
Yes, you also have to come to the center in person for the finger prints, because according to the regulations of the Chinese Embassy, they are exempt from depositing fingerprints, only to applicants who have left their prints and obtained a Chinese visa with the same passport in the last 5 years in any Chinese diplomatic entity or Chinese Visa center.
7. I live outside of Madrid and Barcelona, can I go to the Commissioner to deposit the fingerprints, and send to the Visa Centre?
No, it is needed to come to the Visa center to deposit the prints personally, we have two centers in Spain, Madrid and Barcelona, you can go either.
8. Is fingerprinting and document submitting at the same time?
Yes, on the day of the appointment, the application is submitted at the counter, and the centre staff will take the finger prints.
9. I have uploaded a photo when filling out the form, do I need to bring another physical photo?
We suggest you bring a photo.
10. If I have not brought all the required documents, can I deposit the finger prints and present the documents another day?
No, it is the same time to submit documents and collect the finger print, if your documents do not match the requirements, you would have to present everything and request a new appointment for another day.
11. I have come to submit the application, can I pick up the visa on the same day?
No, the visa application has its procedure, the collection date is different depending on the type of procedure chosen, the regular service in Madrid takes 5 working days, express 3 working days, and in Barcelona it only has regular service of 8 working days.
12. If I can't come on the date of the appointment, what do I have to do?
You have to cancel the appointment (quick access-manage the appointment), and request a new one again.
13. To pick up the visa, if I can't go personally, can someone else come to pick it up for me?
Yes, if you cannot collect personally, you can give the original pick up form to another to withdraw your passport with a visa for you.
14. What extra services do you have at the Visa Center?
In our centers there is a printer and photocopier, each copy 0.20 cents black and white, 0.60 cents in color, and a photo booth (only in Madrid).
