Starting from 17th February 2022, the consular authentication applications should be submitted to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Athens (hereinafter referred to as 'Visa Center'). Please read the following information:
1. Business hour for authentication application
Submit application: 9:00—15:00
Payment and collection: 9:00—16:00
2. Processing time
Ordinary application: 4 working days
Express application: 3 working days
* The consular officer of the embassy may request the applicant to provide other supporting documents or supplementary materials according to the applicant's situation, or request the applicant to go to the embassy for an interview. The processing time may exceed the above-mentioned time.

4. Authentication fee
In addition to collecting authentication fees on behalf of Chinese Embassy, the visa center will also charge service fees. Click here for Fee details.
* all fees must be paid after submitting the application on the same day. If the application is not approved or not processed according to the regulations, all fees will not be refunded.
5. Applicants could check the application process and other relevant information for consular authentication on the website of the Visa Application Center www.visaforchina.org. If you have any questions, you can consult the Visa Application Center by phone or email.
6. Note
(1) The documents applying for certification must be true, legal, and have no content that may harm China's national and social public interests. Certified instruments may not be altered or replaced. Any Issues and legal responsibilities caused by the applicant's own modification or replacement of documents shall be borne by the applicant.
(2) If the document for legalization exceeds two pages, it should be sealed with fire-resistant paint or stamped with a joint seal or stamped (each page) and bound into a book to ensure the integrity of the document. Failure to meet the requirements will not be accepted.
(3) The Visa Center may require applicant to provide other materials deemed necessary by the Embassy.
(4) The Visa Center is only responsible for the acceptance of authentication and does not participate in authentication approval process.
