Notice regarding the issuance of visas by the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC)
on behalf of Chinese Hong Kong / Macau

 
In order to offer a comfortable environment and high quality of service to our clients applying for Chinese Hong Kong / Macau visas, starting on the 1st of May 2019, holders of ordinary passports applying for ordinary Chinese Hong Kong / Macau visas, are required to submit in person their applications at the CVASC, as the Embassy’s Consular Office no longer accepts applications submitted directly to them.

 

Specific details as follows:

1. CVASC contact details

2. Visa issuance hours and cost

i. Working days: Monday to Friday (except festivals and holidays)

ii. Application submission hours: 9:00 to 15:00

iii.  Payment and collection hours: 9:00 to 16:00

iv. Expenses: The CVASC, apart from receiving the officially stipulated visa fee and express procedure fee, also collects a certain service fee, the amount of which can be found at the Centre’s website.

v. Time required to issue a visa: for regular applications, the visa will usually be ready on the fourth working day from the submission of the application. Express service must be approved by the Consulate, and an Express Fee will be applied. The above-mentioned time estimate is for reference only; as each individual case must be passed on the the Hong Kong / Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government, the time required to examine and approve each case may take longer.

3. Special Notes

i. Whether a visa is issued or not is decided by the Embassy, the CVASC does not participate in the approval procedure.

ii. Holders of diplomatic and service passports, other personnel applying for diplomatic, service, or courtesy visas, as well as Chinese citizens applying for the Hong Kong entry permit, should submit their applications at the Embassy’s Consular Office (Address: 2A Krinon Street, Palaio Psychico, 15452 Athens; Office hours: (9:00 to 12:00).

iii. Through the CVASC, clients can reach the Embassy and apply for Chinese Hong Kong / Macau visas. They can also apply personally with the Hong Kong SAR Government Immigration Department or the Macau SAR Government Public Security Police Force Immigration Service.

iv. Regarding visa-free entry to Hong Kong and Macau, please visit the Hong Kong SAR Government Immigration Department’s official website (www.immd.gov.hk) or the Macau SAR Government Public Security Police Force Immigration Service’s official website (www.fsm.gov.mo/psp).
