Notice regarding X1 Visa

The Chinese government attaches great importance to the needs of foreign students to resume their studies in China. In this regard, the competent Chinese and Algerian authorities have maintained close communication and collaboration regarding the return of Algerian students and have made the first progress. With a view to restoring human exchanges between China and Algeria, the Chinese side is adjusting its visa policies for persons in Algeria wishing to travel to China as follows:

A. People who wish to travel to China for long-term studies can apply for the X1 Visa with the following documents:

1.    Certificate of Admission or Study Certificate Issued by the University (The original or photocopy);

2.    Visa Application for Study in China JW201/JW202 (The original or photocopy);

3.    Certificate of deposit issued by the bank (minimum 2500 dollars * number of remaining school years) or Scholarship Certificate. 

B. From 12 a.m. on August 24, 2022 (Beijing time), students with the unexpired China residence permit and holders of the valid APEC business card can enter China without the trouble of applying for the visa.
